Expansion of Reinsurance Capacity Discussed at ICISA Meeting in Prague
JSC "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" (ECA) participated in the meeting of the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA), which took place in Prague, Czech Republic.
ICISA is one of the world's key platforms in the field of insurance and reinsurance. Established in 1928 in Amsterdam, the association brings together leading global private companies specializing in trade credit insurance, guarantees, and surety bonds. ECA has been a full member of ICISA since 2020.
The panel sessions focused on global issues arising from recent world events, including: growing attention to the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), economic shifts driven by tariff policies, and the increasing influence of China and its technological edge. Other key topics included the green economy, achieving carbon neutrality, and the digitalization of global trade.
As part of the event, Ardak Kaliyeva, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of ECA, held meetings with ICISA participants to explore partnership opportunities and the potential to expand reinsurance capacity for Kazakhstan. These efforts aim to support the development of export insurance and enhance Kazakhstan’s integration into global insurance markets.
It is worth noting that in April 2025, ECA also took part in ICISA’s annual spring meeting held in Athens.
