ECA Presents Support Instruments at TASHKENT FASHION & TEXTILE EXPO 2026

The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) took part in the international textile exhibition TASHKENT FASHION & TEXTILE EXPO 2026, aiming to strengthen the position of domestic manufacturers in the Central Asian market. The large-scale industry forum has established itself as a key platform for expanding industrial cooperation and promoting Kazakhstani exports.

This year the exhibition brought together more than 170 leading companies and manufacturers from over 10 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Italy, and Russia. The event was attended by more than 5,000 industry professionals — exporters, importers, and representatives of major retailers and industry associations.

As part of the business program, Alisher Khakimov, ECA's Regional Director in Uzbekistan, held a series of B2B meetings, presenting the Agency's full portfolio of instruments to foreign partners in detail. The talks focused primarily on reducing financial risks and creating favorable deal conditions for foreign buyers of Kazakhstani products.

In particular, participants were introduced to trade finance mechanisms that allow foreign buyers to access affordable working capital to purchase goods from Kazakhstan. To protect domestic exporters from non-payment risk on deferred-payment shipments, ECA offers short-term accounts receivable insurance. The Agency also runs an export loan insurance program that minimizes risks for partner banks financing export-oriented enterprises.

Following the meetings, the Uzbek side expressed concrete interest in purchasing Kazakhstani textile products. The strongest demand was recorded for high-quality workwear and personal protective equipment for the region's major industrial and mining enterprises, as well as for deeply processed cotton products and finished fabrics made from Kazakhstani raw cotton.
