Retail Chains in the Chechen Republic express interest in Kazakhstani products

The Caucasus Investment Forum took place in Grozny from July 15 to 17. Renat Kaliyev, the Regional Director of Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Tatarstan, participated in the event.

The theme of the 2024 Caucasus Investment Forum was "Greater Caucasus: from Sea to Sea," with a primary focus on key sectors of the regional economy such as infrastructure, agro-industrial complex, mechanical engineering, and logistics.

The forum brought together business communities from various countries seeking new markets for their products. It also served as a hub for establishing business connections and finding potential partners.

The first forum was held in 2023 as an investment exhibition, drawing the attention of businesses, experts, and regional leaders from the North Caucasus Federal District. This led to the signing of several agreements. The exhibition has now evolved into a large forum, attracting participants from more countries.

During the event, government and business representatives discussed interregional cooperation and its impact on overall economic growth for both parties. Renat Kaliyev participated in several meetings organized by the government of the Chechen Republic at the request of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These meetings were held with Deputy Minister of Economic, Territorial Development and Trade of the Chechen Republic, Aslambek Medzhidov, and First Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the Chechen Republic, Rasul Bukhari. The parties discussed specific steps to enhance and promote bilateral trade between the two countries.

Furthermore, Renat Kaliyev showcased the export potential of Kazakhstan to business leaders, highlighting the support measures offered by the company and sharing successful collaboration cases with Russia, particularly with Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.

Following the bilateral discussions, Yusup Chulikov, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Chechen Republic, expressed keen interest in collaboration with Kazakhstani entrepreneurs with the support of Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan.
